Molly Kramer

Formidable, fierce and funky, Molly Kramer is a Chicago-born artist who extends her hometown’s legacy as an incubator for powerful blues and soul artists. Her lead single “Filler” is a timeless delight, as Molly’s gritty voice floats atop wah-wah guitars and punctuating horns, transporting a classic groove into the future.

Adventure and spontaneity are tandem touchstones in her life and artistry. Now living in New York City, a circuitous route that brought her to this destination. She believes that being from a big family of six children, gives her a distinct advantage. “Taking social cues, and learning about different people and different personalities gave me an edge up and made me more comfortable going out into the world,” she avows.

In sonic collaboration with producer Dante Lattanzi of Caelum Music Productions, Molly began writing songs that bear witness to her adventures and points of view. “We’re very much on the same wavelength; we always land back in funk,” she notes of her work with Lattanzi. “The songs and sounds come so naturally and it’s so much fun.”   The sense of exploration illustrated by a well-stamped passport now inspires the power of her music. “It is what I love,” Molly qualifies. “I want people to connect with what I’m saying no matter what languages they might speak; to understand my energy and know that this is what I was meant to do.”
